Ibe is one of the latest presenters to join the Citybeat team, although he is no stranger to the Northern Ireland music scene.

You can wakeup with Ibe on Citybeat every Saturday and Sunday morning from 10am, and with his laidback persona, mixed with great music, chat and his movie line teaser, it’s the perfect start to your weekend afternoons.

His love of music started at a very young age which is evident from home movies of him dancing to his biggest idol Michael Jackson who he had the excitement of seeing live in Dublin when Ibe was only 13.

His love of music grew from this and while working his first part time job on a building site as well as helping out other D.J. friends in local night clubs, he saved enough to buy his first roadshow.

Through the help of friends, Ibe started to get more and more jobs and experience gaining the confidence he needed which then led to him entering the Belfast club scene.

Ibe can be found strutting his stuff as “J.J.” on a Friday night.

It’s not home to put the feet up as he’s busy with family life as he is with work. His two daughters and two sons keep their daddy very busy and very happy.

Ibe has turned his hand to other aspects in his career by doing music and commentary for many fashion shows, hosted music quizzes and compared many outdoor events.
